Governor Nikki Haley Gives State of the State Address; Recognizes Be Green Packaging

On Wednesday January 18th, 2012, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley presented her annual State of the State speech, which covered major events of the past year and projected high hopes for the future.  South Carolina’s business friendly climate has attracted many major companies to the state such as Boeing, BMW, and most recently, Be Green Packaging.  Gov. Haley singled out representatives of these companies and thanked them for their contribution to bringing jobs to the state and helping to boost local economies.  Mark Blitzer and Dave Brown, both based in South Carolina, attended on behalf of Be Green.

Development of Be Green Packaging’s Ridgeland, South Carolina Manufacturing Facility Continues

Today marks the two-month anniversary of the commencement of warehousing operations at Be Green Packaging’s new Ridgeland, South Carolina manufacturing plant.  The facility, which will be the first plant fiber packaging manufacturing operation in the United States, is currently being developed in tandem with the Austin Company, a leading design-build engineering firm.  Be Green is aiming high with the new plant seeking to create a waste free facility and draw as much pulp material as possible from the surrounding communities.  Governor Nikki Haley and Senator Clemente Pinckney visited the plant this summer along with community member and leaders to welcome Be Green to the area.

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to Speak at Be Green Packaging’s New Manufacturing Facility in Ridgeland

On Thursday, July 14th, 2011, Be Green Packaging will be hosting South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley at their new manufacturing facility in Ridgeland, SC.  The Governor will be giving a short speech at 1:30 p.m. officially welcoming Be Green Packaging to the state.  Governor Haley’s speech will be followed by an address from Be Green Packaging CEO, Ron Blitzer.  Drinks and light food will be served afterwards.  The event is open to the public and will feature a ‘Sustainable Resource Room’ with tables and exhibits from local organizations and institutions.

The event will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. with the Governor speaking at 1:30 p.m.
