Be Green Packaging LLC Lives the Color at Earth Day Celebrations Around the Country

Santa Barbara, CA -  As Earth Day celebrations occurred around the world, Be Green Packaging asked consumers, “shouldn’t every day be Earth Day?”

Be Green Packaging staff around the nation spent Earth Day and the weekend prior educating consumers on the importance of composting. Meanwhile, Be Green Packaging’s executive team attended the Earth Day Festival in Shanghai, China.

Be Green booths were set up at festivals and in Whole Foods Market stores in an attempt to spread the word about the importance of reducing the use of non-renewable, single-use containers.

Be Green Packaging LLC Partners with Direct Relief and Whole Planet Foundation

Santa Barbara, CA – April 13, 2010 – Be Green Packaging LCC, in response to the disaster in Haiti, partnered with Direct Relief International vowing to match any donations made by its affiliates in the Santa Barbara community. All donations went toward medical aid and assistance for Haitian communities. Be Green also donated tree free, compostable plates to Direct Relief International headquarters to support Direct Relief’s employees in their commitment to helping Haiti.

Be Green’s efforts in providing assistance to Haiti is part of their larger commitment to their community and the planet. As a socially and environmentally responsible company, Be Green strives to support the people and organizations they do business with. As part of this commitment, Be Green Packaging is actively involved with Whole Planet Foundation (WPF).

Be Green Partners with SB Film Festival

Santa Barbara, CA – April 7, 2010 – Be Green Packaging LLC partnered with the 25th Annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival to participate in their sustainable green movement.

Throughout the festival, Be Green Packaging supplied vendors with a full line of tree free, compostable, bulrush fiber products to be used in the festival’s galas, ceremonies and tributes. Vendors for this year’s event included CPK, Pascucci, Wahoos, Marmalade, Chipotle, Live Culture, Chinos, Epiphany, and Pinkberry.

This year was Be Green’s second year contributing to the event. As the Film festival is one of Santa Barbara’s most renowned events, Be Green Packaging feels honored to have been involved in the 10-day occasion.

Be Green Packaging Achieves Green Certification from Santa Barbara County

Santa Barbara, CA – April 1, 2010 – Be Green Packaging LLC was one of the first businesses in Santa Barbara County to receive certification from the Green Business Program.

The Green Business Program awards certifications to businesses that successfully complete a series of requirements and fulfill all the environmental sustainability standards. Be Green completed a series of requirements regarding solid waste reduction and recycling, environmentally preferable purchasing, energy conservation, water conservation and pollution prevention.
